Talks
Each year, we organise talks on surgical career pathways as well as introductions to surgical sub-specialties by experts in their fields.
Some broad categories of talks include:
- Subspecialty Talk Series (cardiothoracic, paediatric surgery etc.)
- Diagnostic Essentials (CT/ X-ray interpretation)
- Fundamentals of Surgery
- Surgical Research

Workshops
In the past, we have conducted hands-on workshops to practice and sharpen skills like suturing. Make sure you keep an eye out to see if a hands-on workshop that interests you will be held in the future!

📚 Journal Club
A great way to stay up-to-date with the latest research while honing your critical thinking skills. SIGMUM facilitates journal club meetings in a collaborative effort to keep up with current areas of interest in surgical research.
